Harbor Club, a 1,600-acre master-planned community east of Atlanta on Lake Oconee, has announced a new partnership with Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee. Coldwell Banker will be responsible for the management of real estate sales and marketing for the development. The company will work directly with Harbor Club on the marketing of real estate and the amenities, as well as provide staffing for the on-site sales office.

Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee is a proven leader in real estate in both the Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair areas and currently has 74 agents staffed in five offices covering the counties of Morgan, Putnam, Greene, Baldwin, Hancock and Oconee. Their expertise lies in both residential and commercial real estate in the Lake Country area.

“We have been working with the Coldwell Banker team for over a year in putting this plan together,” says Harbor Club general manager Brandon Matney. “There are a lot of exciting things happening in our community and even more enhancements on the horizon. With Coldwell Banker’s expertise in the real estate realm, we feel like they are the best choice in taking us to the next level.”

Harbor Club recently celebrated its 20th year last December under the direction of the Matney family out of Bristol, VA, and Greensboro. A number of enhancements have been conducted on property that include a major upgrade to their Stephen Fuller-designed clubhouse, improvements to landscape and facilities throughout property, as well as renovations to their golf course that include cart path repair, ornamental plantings and improvements to the practice facility.

Looking ahead, a flurry of activity gives this newly formed partnership and the community as a whole a lot to be excited about. This summer, Harbor Club plans to hold a grand opening of their lakefront boat storage and convenient general market at the newly acquired Granite Shoals area on the north end of property. A system of walking trails will be constructed on property in the coming months and plans for a new model home are quickly taking shape as well.

“Harbor Club is a development that breeds southern hospitality,” says Tom Martin, president and COO of Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country. “We want this community to have its own identity and be a place people are proud to call ‘home.’ Between the strength of our sales and marketing team and the beauty and stability of Harbor Club, I truly believe that this is a partnership both teams will look back on and be proud of for years to come.”
