Taylor Hyatt placed first at the Scholastic Clay Target Program Georgia State Championship.

Young Taylor Hyatt of Greensboro is quite the marksman. He recently competed in the SCTP (Scholastic Clay Target Program) Georgia State Championships held in Savannah where he became the Individual Skeet State Champion (hitting 88 of 100 targets). He also placed first in three events at the Intermediate level. Added to that, his three-man team (the Brookline Top Shots, based in Milledgeville) won the Squad event for both Skeet and Sporting Clays.

Taylor and his parents, Amy and Kenny, along with sister, McKay, will travel to Sparta, Ill. this month where he’ll compete for the National Championship.

The Ninth Grader will be shooting for Gatewood this coming school year, as they begin their inaugural shooting season.
