On Wednesday, Sept. 11 Old Salem Fire Rescue will host their fourth annual 911 Golf Tournament. There are multiple ways to help: become a sponsor, put together a team ($125 per player), buy raffle tickets ($10 for one, $100 for 15) for a chance to win $1,000 or donate a gift item.

The Putnam General Hospital Foundation will be hosting its annual PGHF Golf Tournament on Sept. 23 at Harbor Club on Lake Oconee. The PGHF’s mission is to support PGH and improve healthcare in the community through the purchase of medical equipment that will benefit patient care. Last year’s tournament efforts raised more than $35,000; the profits went towards the purchase of a central cardiac monitoring system. This year, the Foundation is raising funds for a Cardiac Stress Exercise System. The system will allow for on-site exercise stress testing. This piece is needed to expand non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging testing such as Stress Echo and Nuclear Stress testing. For sponsorship opportunities, player registration or additional information please contact Angela Dell at 706-923-2028 or by e-mail at adell@putnamgeneral.com.
