LOTA (Lake Oconee Tennis Association) is looking for local businesses to be sponsors for their annual LOTA Classic men’s and women’s tennis tournament to be held Sept. 13-15. Last year’s tournament raised $6000 for the ATLAS Ministry Inc. charity.

The tournament draws players from all over the lake area and from as far away as Texas, Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina. Last year more than 100 players competed.

There are several categories of sponsorship available:

Tournament Sponsors:

• $1,000+
• $500
• $250

Patron Sponsors:

• Gold: $100
• Silver: $50

Sponsors are featured on the Tournament Banner and tee shirts and are mentioned in news articles about the tournament. Last year’s LOTA tournament sponsors included: Classic Wines and Spirits, Plum Creek Timber Company, KB Voiceovers, St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital, Acura & Volvo of Athens, Frank’s Chiropractic Life Center, Bug House of Lake Oconee, Aesthetic & Dermatology Specialty Centre, Dr. Yune, LoanSouth Mortgage, Robert A. Reynolds CPA, Keller Williams LOR/Kim and Lin Logan, Lake Oconee Dentistry, Gordon Van Mol/Keller Williams Realty and Bank South.

LOTA organizes many tennis leagues and tournaments in the lake area. It also has sponsored some fun charity events such as the “Empty Stocking Fund” winter round robin. LOTA also provided tennis coaching for the third graders at the Greensboro Elementary School. This year’s tournament proceeds will go to the St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro.
