Although the original tournament date had to be rescheduled due to the weather the Reynolds Plantation Tennis Doubles Club Championships were still a great success. The initial turnout was to be the best attendance in the history of the club, but the rain was unavoidable. Thanks to faithful and available players the event was set for June 29-30 and everyone had a great time. The planning for next year’s event has already begun.

With many new to the tennis tournament scene, as well as many regular tournament players, it was a great time to get many members to meet others for the first time. Both the Mixed 4.0 and Men’s 4.0 Doubles ended up with some very close matches and provided some wonderful tennis to watch.

The warm temperatures this time of year made the battles on court more difficult than the originally planned tournament date. Thanks to all the players who participated and hung in there through the tight competition and congratulations to all the winners.

Reynolds Plantation Tennis Club looks forward to hosting everyone again during the Fall tournaments.
