Sept. 10

Lake Oconee’s first Oconee Idol will hold auditions at Festival Hall at 6 p.m. Contestants must complete an online application by Sept. 1. Applications can be found on the OPAS website, www.opas.org, the OPAS Facebook page, www.facebook.com/OPASarts, or the Putnam Greene Young Professionals Facebook page, www.facebook.com/PutnamGreeneYP. Sept. 11

The Old Salem Fire Rescue will host their fourth annual 911 Golf Tournament. There are multiple ways to help: become a sponsor, put together a team ($125 per player), buy raffle tickets ($10 for one, $100 for 15) for a chance to win $1,000 or donate a gift item.

TenderCare Clinic, 803 S. Main St., Greensboro, will host a free talk for patients, care-partners and professionals with movement disorder specialist John Morgan, MD at 6 p.m. in the clinic lobby. The Corry House, Union Point, will host Concert at the Corry House. Pullin’ Strings and John Dunn and the Jazzman will perform. All concert proceeds will benefit the local nonprofit organization Global Samaritans. Tickets are available at $25 per seat, or $200 per table.
