- Fifteen area restaurants and 27 business participated in 2013’s Tasteful Event and Business Expo.
More than 400 people filled the Parkside Commons area at Lake Oconee Village on Monday, Sept. 9 as 15 area restaurants and 27 local businesses featured their food, products and services at the Greene County Chamber’s seventh annual Tasteful Event. Food samples ranging from gourmet macaroni and cheese, sweets and baked goods, gumbo, salmon, drunken quail and hot wings were served to the guests in attendance. Music filled the air throughout the evening presented by DOCK 103.9 and a special performance by local musician Tim Cadiere and The Washboard Road topped off the event. Guests voted on Most Unique Presentation and Favorite Dish with both being awarded to Lake Oconee’s own, Harbor Club for their Salmon Beurre Blanc and Braised Short Ribs.
Heritage Charity Auctions and Awards provided many of the Silent Auction items for the evening. Guests were able to bid on many items, which included Braves, Masters Tournament and University of Georgia memorabilia.
