Sergio Garcia worked with TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Company to get the best shot during filming.

While it’s not unusual to have some of the best golfers in the world at Reynolds Plantation, it’s always fun when they get to spend a little time with members, as a few did last week while on site with the TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Company (TMaG).

Martin Laird, of Scotland, who won the Valero Texas Open this year, served as “special guest” at the Club Championship Dinner. His evening at The Lake Club included presenting awards to the respective tournament winners, posing for photos with the champs and some engaging conversation about everyone’s favorite subject – what else? – golf.

Also stopping over at Reynolds Plantation following the TOUR Championship in Atlanta were reigning U.S. Open Champion Justin Rose, seven-time PGA Tour winner Dustin Johnson, the ever-popular Sergio Garcia and Australia’s Jason Day, who was runner-up to Rose at the 2013 U.S. Open.

This time, though, the Tour pros visiting Reynolds Plantation were on the golf course working on executing “good shots” for a different reason – the close-ups on camera being more important than how close they were to the flagstick. They were capturing content for TMaG’s early 2014 TV and print campaigns, with a sprawling video- and photo-shoot spread out over the two days.

“This is a huge undertaking that requires months of planning,” said Melissa Ziegler, TaylorMade’s Director of Marketing. “It takes an army of people to pull it together, and there’s barely a minute of daylight during the two days that everybody isn’t busy, including the players.”

She continued, “We typically do this every year at Reynolds Plantation because it has six golf courses that offer all kinds of authentic and scenic locations to shoot on,” Ziegler said, “and because it’s only 90 miles from Atlanta, so it’s easy for our athletes to get here after the Tour Championship.”

Members of the TMaG Tour Staff have been coming to Reynolds Plantation since the debut of The Kingdom in September of 2007.

This year, Reynolds Plantation expanded its exclusive working relationship with TMaG. The Kingdom at Reynolds Plantation is now accessible to both Reynolds Plantation members and resort guests for the most state-of-the art-club fittings available. TaylorMade has also expanded The Kingdom’s service through the creation of the Putting Lab, a new high-performance putting studio.
