On Saturday, Sept. 14 the Ladies Auxiliary from the Lake Oconee Elks Lodge No. 2849 held a drawing for a sport raffle basket. The basket included tickets for movies, football games, massages, golf lessons and many more gift cards to local businesses. The proceeds from the basket totaled $2,135 and will be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project.

This program aids veterans in many ways to assure they can lead a normal life after their service to our country.

The Lake Oconee Elks Ladies Auxiliary asks that the community thank everyone who helped make the raffle possible and support their businesses.

The following people and businesses donated items, or their time, to this worthy cause:

Richard Matthews, Classic Wines; Sweet Sensations; Dr. Ramona Warren, Pathways to Healing; Chuck Little, Cuscowilla; Brand New Look Hair Salon; The Lodge, Katy Meeks; Jerry’s Bait and Tackle; Reynolds Plantation; Camille and Company, Kimberly Tucker; Tan and Nail Spa; Christine Warren CMT; Joel Hall; Tommy Washburn; Harold and Joyce Huston; Joyce Kender; Don and Kathy Sakal; and Mike and Sandy Langan.
