Lake Oconee Lutheran Church has started a new organ fund to assist with the purchase of a new instrument for its sanctuary. The current organ is more than 40 years old and repair costs outweigh its value. The new organ will be purchased from the Allen Organ Company and will have a 10-year warranty on all parts. Once 60 percent of the funds for the instrument are raised the company will begin building the instrument. The $50,000 price includes the organ, delivery, installation and voicing specific to LOLC’s sanctuary space. Anyone who wishes to donate to the fund may designate that their donation go to the Lake Oconee Lutheran Church Organ Fund. The leaders of the music program at LOLC are Brad Rudisail, Kris Proper and Dave Heimer.
