- For three years, the ‘Del Webb Sew Much Fun Club’ has created beautiful quilted articles that are raffled to support the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club. This year, the quilters present an assortment of colorful quilted pieces that may be used for special holiday occasions. Quilters pictured with the assorted quilts for this year’s events are: (l to r) Emmy Odegaard, Libba Holmes, Pam Koen and Laurie McKercher.
The Del Webb “Sew Much Fun Club” has created quilted masterpieces for the third year as their donation to the Pete Nance Club’s holiday fundraiser, Festival of Trees.
This year the talented group has stitched colorful table runners, table toppers, wall hangings and advent calendars. Raffle tickets for each hand-sewn item will be sold for $2 each at the popular event, set for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6-7, at Greensboro’s Festival Hall.
Many ladies in the active Del Webb Community worked on this project, which will offer a significant contribution to our local Boys & Girls Club.
The Festival of Trees will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. Tickets may be purchased at the door of Festival Hall. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for youth 8 to 18 and children under eight are free. All proceeds from the event benefit the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club.
