Festival of Trees illuminates downtown Greensboro

A spectacular forest of glittering Christmas trees and wreaths illuminated Festival Hall in downtown Greensboro for two days, at the third annual Festival of Trees.

Wide-eyed youth, as well as the young at heart, enjoyed performances by talented Pete Nance Club singers and violinists from Greene County schools.  The popular Walker Methodist Church Carolers, Eatonton Harmonettes and Christ our King Choir performed familiar Christmas songs onstage, as a variety of vendors displayed jewelry, candy, baked goods, wreaths, home dÈcor wood craft and custom made pillows and ladies wear.

Once again, Santaís Secret Shop drew groups of excited children inside the magical ìkids onlyî structure to shop for family presents, where they were aided by special elves.

Festival of Trees, the largest holiday celebration in the area, is staged as a fundraiser to benefit the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club of Greene County.
