Mrs. Tina Epps, Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club Teen Center Director, is guiding the new program for Greene County teens with a firm and creative hand.  She brings both knowledge and a wide scope of experience to the task.  Mrs. Epps earned her Associates Degree in Psychology from Georgia Perimeter College, Decatur, Georgia and furthered her studies in Human Services with a BA degree in Science from Mercer University in Macon.  She has worked with children, youth, adolescents and their families for 24 years. Her experience encompasses the areas of public schools (5 years,) the mental health field (3 years) and church youth programs (10 years.)    She also holds certifications in Healthy Parenting Skills, is a Georgia Mental Health Paraprofessional and an ordained Youth Pastor.

Mrs. Epps is no stranger to the Boys & Girls Club movement, with over eight years of experience working for the Barksdale Boys & Girls Club, in Conyers, GA.  She began as an art room instructor, then moved to coordinate the Learning Center and eventually was promoted to Teen Center Director there.  At the Barksdale Club in Conyers, Mrs. Epps built a teen membership of over 150 members with average of over eighty youth attending daily.

“Miss Tina,” as she is called by Pete Nance Club members, is passionate about youth and the endless possibilities that lay ahead of them.  She relates, “I get joy out of seeing even one young individual meet and exceed their own expectations.”  She has a “We Can Do It!” attitude and is a firm believer that teamwork is essential to success.  Her motto has been, “If I can help somebody as I travel along my way, then my living shall not have been in vain.”

The Pete Nance Club staff, members and Advisory Board is proud to introduce Mrs. Tina Epps to our community.  The teen members of the club are already aware of her gifts and appreciate her guidance and direction.  The official name of the club is “THE CLUB.”  The newly renovated facility is located on the second floor of the Pete Nance Club.  Teens interested in becoming a part of this active organization may contact Mrs. Epps at the club:  706-454-1120
