Little Scholars Academy recently presented a fundraiser check to the Halstead Foundation.

Little Scholars Academy, accompanied by hundreds of child care centers throughout the state, participated in the Skip for Tripp-a-thon last October to raise money for Tripp Halstead, who suffered a brain injury at age 2. They overall goal was to raise $10,000 for the family. However, these tiny tots were able to raise close to $29,000 for such a wonderful cause. Little Scholars Academy’s Head of School, Anne Bared-Hill was excited to be representing District 5 at the December board meeting. She along with the rest of Georgia Child Care Association board members were able to present a check for close to $29,000 to The Tripp Halstead Donation Fund. Stacy Halstead was moved to tears by this generous donation and gave a heartfelt speech about Tripp’s love of preschool, his current condition and the slow but steady progress he is making. She and her husband Bill pray and hope he can make a full recovery.
