The Lake Oconee Tennis Association and its USTA Local League Coordinator Denise Bush were recently named as winners of the national USTA Local League Growth Contest at the Community Tennis Development Workshop in Atlanta Georgia. The USTA League Local Growth Contest was developed to recognize the local USTA League and its USTA League Coordinator with the highest increase in the total number of league registrations in 2013 as compared to 2012. Three categories of awards included largest increase in registrations, highest percentage increase, and largest increase in Highest Percentage Increase. The USTA Local League Coordinator whose league had the highest percentage increase in the total USTA League registrations in the TennisLink® system between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013 as compared to USTA League registrations in the TennisLink® system between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 will be invited to volunteer at a 2014 USTA League National Championships selected by USTA.
Denise Bush (Lake Oconee Tennis) had the highest percentage increase in registrations in 2013 nationwide! She will be invited to work a 2014 USTA League National Championships in Indian Wells, Calif., Tucson, Ariz. or Surprise, Ariz.
