Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church will be having their Kid’s Bible Adventure each week on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – noon (with the exception of the week of July 4). This year’s curriculum is “The Scottish Sleuths and the Case of the Missing Parables.” Kids Bible Adventure is free and open to ages three – 11. Join in for an amazing adventure through the Bible with singing, playing outside, snacks, crafts and more. Amy Reber will perform a piano concert at 6 p.m. at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church, 113 Scott Road, Eatonton, to benefit Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church’s Mission Trip Team. The Mission Trip Team will be going to the Cree Indian Reservation in Hobbema, Canada. The concert will also benefit Lakeside Church’s Mission trip to New Jersey where residents were hit by Hurricane Sandy.
Amy has a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Baylor University, has performed before the Denver Symphony Orchestra, and is currently the music, chorus and piano teacher at Lake Oconee Academy.

Tickets are not required, and childcare will be provided (birth through five). A complementary dessert fellowship will follow the concert.
July 7
The fifth annual community-wide Celebration of Freedom will be held at 9 a.m. at Plantation Point Pavilion. In addition to the Greene County High ROTC color guard, the Reynolds Chorus and other musical highlights, this year’s event will feature a “Blessing of the Badges” ceremony. Anyone who wears a badge is asked to come in uniform and receive a blessing for a safe year of service. The event is sponsored by the Lake Oconee Community Church (LOCC). Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church, 113 Scott Road, Eatonton, will host a Patriotic Celebration for the community. During the Morning Worship Celebration at 10:30 a.m. the sermon topic will be One Nation Under God. Immediately following will be a Patriotic Picnic at the LOPC pavilion, including a patriotic sing-along, men’s chorus and soloist Jeffrey Wells.
