A beautiful summer’s day greeted golfers as they registered for the Seventh Annual Harbor Club Men’s Golf Association Memorial Scholarship Tournament. This event honors deceased HC golfers by offering scholarships to local students in their memory.

Victors emerged at tournament’s end with Jimmy Britt, David Hamilton, Rob Douglas and Ed Zipperer winning First Low Gross. Patricia Balduff, Ellie Davis, Diane Roberts and Terri Ligon won the ladies First Low Net honors. Sherry and John Stathas, along with 2012 Scholarship winner, Jay Long, also won First Low Net. Keeping it in the family, Shirley Wheeler and her husband George each won Closest to the Pin.

The afternoon came to a close with Tournament Chairman Bud Stultz presenting awards to the winners and a special plaque to Larry Price as a founding member of the scholarship tournament.

This year’s scholarship winners are: Aaron Johnson and Ambernique Jones of Greene County High School, Alix Pierson of Gatewood Schools and Jacob McCranie of Putnam High School.

Harbor Club would like to thank everyone who donated and supported the Scholarship Tournament.
