Saturday at the Rock, Aug. 16: Watershed Exploration
Published 8:00 am Friday, August 15, 2014
Spend one of the last warm weekends of summer cooling off while exploring one of Rock Eagle’s streams. Participants will use dip nets to collect and identify organisms found in the headwaters of Rock Eagle Lake including a variety of macroinvertebrates. Fish, salamanders, turtles, crawfish, and tadpoles can also be spotted by the careful observer. So join Rock Eagle staff on the morning of Aug. 16 and learn more about the critters living in your local watershed.
