After child abuse charges, Vikings’ Peterson reinstated

The Minnesota Vikings on Monday announced they have decided to reinstate running back Adrian Peterson for Sunday’s game at New Orleans.

The decision comes four days after Peterson was indicted by a grand jury in Montgomery County, Texas, on a charge of reckless or negligent injury to a child. According to a police report obtained by Sports Radio 610 in Houston, Peterson used a tree branch to hit the alleged victim, his 4-year-old son, as punishment for pushing another one of Peterson’s children.
