GREENSBORO — Enjoy beautiful spring fashions while helping to improve healthcare in our community by marking your calendar for the St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital “Heart & Soul” Fashion Show on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at the Oconee Clubhouse Ballroom.

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide additional equipment, technology and services at Good Samaritan Hospital, 5401 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro. All proceeds will remain in Greene County to improve access to care and enhance the range of medical services available locally.

“We are already hard at work planning a truly fantastic event for our community,” said Jenny Bedell, event chair. “This fashion show is going to be wonderful and a whole lot of fun. We know tickets will go quickly.”

Fashions will be provided by Sonia Says of Athens, a high-end boutique offering collections such as sportswear, evening wear, novelty shoes and handbags. Sonia Says also specializes in event dressing, from weddings to black tie events to bar and bat mitzvahs.

The exact time of the event is still being determined, but Bedell said it likely will be held at midday, with a reception, light refreshments and beverages before the show begins. Ticket information will be announced shortly and will be posted at www.stmarysgoodsam.org.

In addition to the fashion show, a VIP reception will be held the evening before the main event at the home of a local supporter. Details will be announced in the near future.

Sponsorship opportunities are available in a wide range of levels. For more information about becoming a sponsor, call Riezl Baker, sponsorship committee chair, at 706-347-2625 or email her at rbaker@plantationcable.net. Call Susan Jacobs, Foundation information specialist, at 706-389-3925 or email her at sjacobs@stmarysathens.org.

“We hope everyone will mark their calendars and hold February 9th open for what will be one of the premier events for our community,” Bedell said. “What better way to observe National Heart Month, promote quality healthcare right here in Greene County and get ready for Valentine’s Day than with a fantastic fashion show?”
