4 killed, 15 injured when softball team bus crashes

DAVIS, Okla. — A college softball team bus was involved in a crash with a semi-truck on Interstate 35 late Friday night that left at least four dead and more than fifteen injured.
The North Central Texas College team bus was returning home to Gainesville, Texas, Friday night after playing a game in Oklahoma when a northbound semi-truck crossed the center median and struck the southbound bus.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident took place after 9 p.m. at the highway’s mile marker 47 in Murray County.
OHP Capt. Ronnie Hampton said three women on the team died at the scene, and a fourth woman died at the hospital.
Hampton told media outlets that the crash is being investigated as a homicide, adding that both drivers will undergo standard toxicology tests.
North Central Texas College President Brent Wallace was expected to hold a news conference on the school campus Saturday morning.
