SELBYVILLE, Del. — A Delaware woman has been arrested after her 4-year-old passed out bags of heroin to her daycare classmates thinking the 249 packets of powder were candy.
According to Delaware Online, one teacher recognized the drugs and began searching children’s pockets and collecting the packets.
Police and medical personnel responded to the daycare, though police said none of the children opened the packets.
Ashley R. Tull, the girl’s mother, was arrested. Though 3.735 grams of heroin were collected from the daycare, enough for a felony possession charge, Tull was charged with three counts of child endangerment and with maintaining a drug property.
