Bystanders try to break up a fight between a man and a woman dressed as Mr. Incredible and Batgirl outside the TCL Chinese Theatre.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame, routinely filled with celebrity impersonators and people dressed as superheroes, is known for its fierce competitiveness as the characters collect money for photos with tourists.

Tourists got a first-hand account of just how brutal it can be Tuesday when a fight broke out among several movie characters. The melee was captured on video and is now being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, according to KTLA.

The FilmOn.com production company was shooting nearby and caught some of the action on video. In it, a man dressed as Mr. Incredible and a woman in a Batgirl outfit got into a fight Tuesday in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre at Hollywood and Highland.

From out of nowhere, two more people, dressed as Chewbacca and Freddy Krueger, appear and break up the fight between Mr. Incredible and Batgirl. Then someone dressed as Waldo from the “Where’s Waldo” series tries to intervene, the video shows.

However, that is not the end of it. The video suddenly stops and then picks back up as Mr. Incredible fights to get away from his captors and rushes Batgirl. It then looks like he body slams the caped crusader to the ground before adding a couple of kicks for good measure. At that point, other bystanders intervened and got between the two costumed characters.

One pedestrian took a step toward Mr. Incredible with his hands balled into fists. That is when the video ends.

A man dressed as Spider-Man told KTLA that the fight began when Mr. Incredible accused Batgirl of standing too close to him.

LAPD Officer Drake Madison confirmed to KTLA that the incident occurred late Tuesday afternoon, but gave no details on who the costumed characters where or if they know how the scuffle began.

Madison said that no arrests were made and no injuries had been reported and that LAPD units were investigating the dispute.

“The good ones, we’re stationary, we’ll stand against the curb, people come to us,” a man dressed as Batman told CBS Los Angeles. “But the bad ones, they roam up and down, so they cross paths or they target the same people, and then they get into each other. It’s less now because we have a lot more police presence here since last year, and it has made a difference. It’s not cleaned up yet, but it is getting better.”

According to reports, Mr. Incredible is no longer welcome.
