Police in Kokomo, Indiana, had little trouble tracking down twins whom they believe broke into a tavern Wednesday morning.
Not only were the twins, Andrew and Austin Ferguson, both 22, caught on surveillance video breaking into the front glass door of Bert & John’s Tavern and stealing cash, they left footprints in the snow leading to their nearby home, Kokomo Police Maj. Brian Seldon said.
Seldon said officers were called to the business at 5:56 a.m. Wednesday and found the front glass door was shattered.
Police obtained a search warrant for the twins’ home and found evidence related to the burglary and shoes that matched the footprints in the snow.
According to department reports, the twins were arrested at 10 a.m. Wednesday on a Level 5 felony charge of burglary.
The pair is also charged in a string of burglaries over the last year.
Both are now being held at the Howard County jail without bond.
