Lake Sinclair Fishing Forecast, Dec. 4, 2014
Published 8:00 am Thursday, December 4, 2014
Lake Conditions – The lake is mostly clear to slightly stained.
Lake Water Temperature – 56-58 degrees
Largemouth Bass – FAIR/GOOD – Recent cold fronts have dropped the water temperature and the bite continues to be slow. The shad that have been in the creeks and coves will begin their migration back to the main lake. The fish are in transition right now and the key to success is figuring out where the fish are located and then finding a lure that they will bite. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits and jigs are good choices for getting that bite.
Crappie – FAIR/GOOD – Some fish remain around deep brushpiles but many have migrated or moved into the mouths of coves and are being caught by trolling jigs.
Striped Bass/White Bass/Hybrid Bass – FAIR/Good –The fish are beginning to bite for anglers who troll the creeks and large coves. Things will continue improving with the arrival of colder water temperatures. That is when the jigging spoon becomes a great choice.
Catfish – GOOD –The catfish can be found at just about any depth now. Cut bait, bream heads and live bream/shad will catch the bigger fish.
