Charlie Culpepper retires at Tendercare Pharmacy

LAKE OCONEE — Pharmacist Charlie Culpepper was a key person in the initial design and preparations of the TenderCare Pharmacy when their state-of-the-art facility was built in 2008. After serving as Director of the pharmacy for six years, Culpepper has retired.
Culpepper graduated from the University of Georgia School Of Pharmacy in 1963. After serving 6 months in the Army, he began his career in Atlanta, Ga. working for a small pharmacy chain and eventually advanced to become a manager of one of their stores. In 1982, he left to open his own pharmacy in Roswell, Ga. Over the next 24 years Culpepper expanded his business to include not only a retail pharmacy but also an assisted living pharmacy serving over 1200 patients, and also a home medical supply company. In 2006, he sold his business and moved full time to Lake Oconee.

Over the last 6 years, Culpepper has personally witnessed TenderCare grow from a small clinic to a booming medical center serving 1000’s of patients over a broad range of services. TenderCare Pharmacy is now filling prescriptions for over 300 patients a day
Culpepper states, “It is thededication of the Tendercare staff that has made our clinic what it is today. It is with a sad heart in many ways, that I have decided to begin another career in the retirement community. I will miss my fellow constituents and I will always feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to work with Tendercare.”
Carolyn Lunsford, a resident of Morgan County, has recently joined the staff of TenderCare Pharmacy as Pharmacist.
