Lake Oconee Fishing Forecast, Dec. 11, 2014

Published 8:00 am Thursday, December 11, 2014

Lake Conditions – The lake is clear to lightly stained

Lake Water Temperature – 56-58 degrees

Largemouth Bass – FAIR – Weather changes has made finding a good pattern difficult from day to day. The fish were in shallow water feeding on shad until the last blast of cold weather and now the bass and shad have begun a slow migration back to the main lake. Look for a good jigging spoon bite to start soon and the drop-shot is working right now in the center of coves around schools of shad.

Crappie – FAIR/GOOD – Best bet is to troll jigs and minnows over the deeper brushpiles and underwater trees. A good number of crappie are over underwater trees and brushpiles in the mouths of large coves and some schools are moving into the coves.

Hybrid/Striped/White Bass – NO REPORT

Catfish – NO REPORT
