Greene Co. Chamber announces new board members, officers

GREESNBORO — The Greene County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce the election of new officers and board members, which took place on Dec. 4.
Ayal Latz of a2b Fulfillment is the 2015 chairman replacing Vickie Jenkins who has served as Chairwoman for the past two years. Jenkins moves to the position of past chair for the coming year.
Chris Bragg was voted chairman-elect while Bob Hartland was re-elected as secretary/treasurer.
Sarah Peacock, Bank South, was elected to a three-year term to fill Morris Miller’s vacancy at the completion of his three-year term. Celia Covington, Good Samaritan Hospital, was re-elected to a three-year term. Richard Curtis, Wrayswood Farm, was elected to a three-year term to fill Cecily Callaway’s vacancy at the completion of her three-year term. Philip Mellor, Greene County Schools superintendent, was elected to complete the last two years of Bob Hartland’s term. Finally, Jackie Greer, Greer Force Marketing, was elected to complete the last year of the term vacated by Jon Butler.
The Chamber Board and staff appreciates the involvement and support of board members Morris Miller and Cecily Callaway over the past three years.
Additionally, the Chamber board and staff recognize the significant contributions of Steve Kilgore, The Entrepreneur’s Source, who has served on the Chamber Board since 2009, serving as a board member, chairman and past chairman since that time. Steve has promised to stay involved, particularly by being the facilitator at Coffee and Cards, which is held the second Wednesday of each month at Lakeside Church, Greensboro.
