The Harbor Club Ladies League traveled to downtown Greensboro and The Yesterday Café for its November luncheon/meeting. Brenda Hill welcomed all and introduced new members, Maureen Brower and Betsy Yancey as well guest, Suzie Kurelic.
Jeannie Folsom announced that there would be an outing to Atlanta and tour of the Governor’s Mansion on Dec. 8. An in town lunch and shopping at Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square will complete the afternoon’s activities.
Kathy Kurelic reminded those shopping for “Christmas Kids” to get their gifts delivered to designated homes as soon as possible. She also requested that donations for the Circle of Love be brought to the December meeting.
Co-presidents, Brenda Hill and Kathy Kurelic noted that nominations for new officers should be considered for next year’s Board.
After a delicious luncheon (topped off with Yesterday’s famous Buttermilk Pie) Debbie Cherry introduced Vickie Watts and her staff of the Blue Giraffe Salon who gave the ladies tips and “tricks” on the latest in make-up and hair styles. They also donated fabulous salon door prizes. Lucky winners were ~ Carol Ashley, Patsy Berryman, Dannelle Borland, Judy Cerny, Debby Cherry, Lynda Jochim, Joyce Johnson, Cheryl Martin and Rebecca McRobbie.
The ladies will meet for a Christmas holiday party at the home of Nancy Dawkins in December.
