Lake Conditions – The lake is mostly clear to slightly stained.
Lake Water Temperature – 48-53 degrees
Largemouth Bass – FAIR/GOOD –Many of the fish have moved to deeper water but a good number of fish remain in shallow water around docks in water 6-12 feet deep and can be caught of crankbaits and jigs. The key to success is figuring out where the fish are located and then finding a lure that they will bite. The drop-shot rig and jigging spoons will produce fish in the 18-40 foot depths right now. Find schools of shad around deep brushpiles or underwater trees and fish the drop-shot rig or jigging spoon.
Crappie – FAIR/GOOD – Some fish remain around deep brushpiles but many have migrated or moved into the mouths or center of large coves and creeks and are being caught by trolling jigs. The drop-shot rig with a two crappie hook setup and a couple of lively minnows will catch fish on the bottom in water 18-40 feet.
Striped Bass/White Bass/Hybrid Bass – FAIR/Good –The fish are biting for anglers who watch the birds working the baitfish. Troll umbrella rigs around areas where birds are working or use a jigging spoon in those same areas.
Catfish – NO REPORT
