STAMFORD, Conn.—A trip to a Connecticut salon for a haircut resulted in an undesired style and criminal charges for a man who reports say became enraged and throwing things around the establishment.

Already unhappy with the haircut he received at the Loft Salon and Spa on Wednesday, 47-year-old Alan Becker became more upset once he was informed that the cut would cost him $50, Stamford Police Sgt. Kelly Connelly told the Associated Press.

According to Connelly, Becker kicked a hole in the salon wall, threw a candle and other items and was aggressive in a “swearing tirade” with salon staff and other patrons before leaving, as reported by local news affiliate WFSB.

Police said that following the incident, Becker reportedly returned and asked that his haircut be fixed, but salon staff refused to oblige and contacted police shortly after.

Becker was later arrested at his home on breach of peace and criminal mischief charges.

While Becker could not be reached for comment, the owner of the Loft Salon and Spa chose not to comment on the incident.
