EATONTON — The Rock Eagle 4-H Environmental Education Program is excited to announce the spring 2016 dates for Camp EcoAdventure! Campers will explore the wonder of our natural environment with hands-on, action packed adventures. Camp EcoAdventure will take place on March 28 throug h April 1 and is open to first- through fifth-graders. Participants may join for one day or for the whole week! Each day includes snacks, activities, a craft, and much more!
The daily fun includes: Monday (March 28)- Adventure Camp: The week will start by navigating around Rock Eagle 4-H Center during “Adventure Camp”. Campers will participate in a scavenger hunt, learn survival skills such as fire building, and explore nature with a special sensory hike. Tuesday (March 29) – Mad Scientist Day: Campers will channel their inner “mad” scientist as we perform a variety of exciting experiments. With a focus on our five senses, campers will journey through the human brain and discover how our senses help us every day! Wednesday (March 30) – Zookeeper for a Day: If you have a passion for animals, this is the day for you! See what it’s like to care for our resident program animals. From feeding, to cleaning, to animal enrichment, we will do it all during “Keeper” Camp! Thursday (March 31) – Dig in the Dirt: Campers will get their hands dirty learning about gardening, plant life, and pollinators. While learning about “good” and “bad” bugs, campers will have the opportunity to meet some of Rock Eagle’s very own creepy crawlies and have a chance to explore our vegetable garden. Friday (April 1) – Wet and Wild: Prepare to get wet as we spend the whole day in and around Rock Eagle Lake. With fishing, canoeing, and a creek hike on the agenda, things are sure to get “Wet & Wild.”
