MILLEDGEVILLE — Amanda Petty, experienced attorney and partner at the Milledgeville law firm Cansino, Petty and Stribling, recently announced her campaign for Superior Court Judge in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit.
She will seek the position currently held by Judge Hugh Wingfield III, who does not plan to run for re-election.
The Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit includes Baldwin, Greene, Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Morgan, Putnam and Wilkinson counties.
Petty also announced that she has over $20,000 cash on hand for her campaign — a clear sign of growing support and momentum for her campaign.
“I am proud to announce my campaign for Superior Court Judge. I am running because I am invested in our community and am committed to the eight counties of this circuit. I now want to make a difference for our families as Judge. After over a decade of practicing law, I have gained wide-ranging experience in nearly every area of the law. I know firsthand how the decisions made in our courtrooms affect our entire community, and I have the right experience that qualifies me to do the job.”
“I have been humbled by the outpouring of support that I have received from people all over the circuit. It is clear by the number of people who have invested in my campaign that my message of having the right motivation and the right experience to make a difference for our families is resonating. I look forward to working hard in the months ahead to earn the trust and support of the people of the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit,” said Petty.
