First United Methodist Church of Greensboro recently began live-streaming Sunday worship services from its South Campus sanctuary on Carey Station Road. The 9:15 a.m. services may be viewed locally on Plantation Cable channel 565. Viewers from anywhere in the world may also access the Sunday worship service by visiting the church website at www.fumcgreensboro.org and clicking on the link.
Equipment, installation and training services were donated to the church by local businessman Jim Hall, who recently sold his interest in the Plantation Cable Company to South Carolina-based Hargray Communications. In addition, Hall has arranged for streaming access to be provided by ESE Networks in Greensboro.
Senior Pastor Mike Morgan noted that these telecasts will greatly enhance the outreach programs of the church and its ministry to the area’s three-county region and far beyond.
First United Methodist Church of Greensboro serves the community from two campuses. The South Campus is located on Carey Station Road and the historic North Campus stands in the heart of downtown Greensboro on Broad Street.
Additional information on this and other FUMC activities and missions is available by contacting the church office at 706-453-7064 or visiting the church website at www.fumcgreensboro.org.
