GREENSBURG, Ind. — The old saying, “boys will be boys” comes to mind when looking at a family photo of a Greensburg, Indiana couple and their newest addition that has gone viral.

Farren and Jeff Carlson had this photo taken last month, after the birth of their third son, Pryor.

As anyone who has cared for a newborn can attest, when the diaper comes off, anything can happen. Farren, a photographer herself, knew the risks, but wanted to get unique and artistic photos.

Unfortunately, little Pryor let loose a stream with impressive strength and distance, according to his mother. The suprising moment took place at the beginning of the shoot, leaving Farren wet for the rest of the session. The veteran mother, who has two other boys, said she didn’t mind because the photos turned out so well.

“God has blessed us with three beautiful boys, with our newest addition shocking us during our newborn photoshoot,” Farren Carlson said. “Our little guy has made quite the news, and I’m sure it will be interesting to show him when he gets older.”

Photographer Abbie Rogers, of Laurel, Michigan, captured the special moment and shared the photo via her Facebook page, where it has since been shared far and wide, bringing in international attention. The photo went out with this caption, “So… This happened today! In case anyone wants to know what really happens during a newborn session.”

Rogers expected others would enjoy the photo, but did not expect the thousands of likes, comments and shares it generated. An Australian website reached out to Rogers for permission to share the photo in an article and from there, its meteoric ascent to viral status was unstoppable.

“We are quite shocked how this photo has gone viral,” Farren Carlson said. “Especially because that wasn’t the intention. We are completely amazed.”
