Tom Martin, President and COO of Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake County, has announced that the Georgia Real Estate Commission has approved the firm’s application for a full-service real estate school. “We, as a company, are dedicated to maintaining the most trusted and respected real estate agents in our marketplace committed to the highest ethical and professional standards,” said Martin. “Our school is designed to raise the competency level in our industry by bringing interesting, relevant and practical skill development courses to all real estate associates in Georgia’s Lake Country. The Coldwell Banker real estate school gives us the platform to be both innovative and effective in training agents to meet the needs of today’s buyers and sellers, augmenting the offerings of our local board of Realtors®.
The school has hired Bill Aaron, a new resident of the lake area, to serve as School Director. Formerly the Education Advisor for the Georgia Real Estate Commission for ten years, Bill was responsible for the approval and regulation of Georgia’s real estate schools. He has also served as real estate school director for Barney Fletcher Schools in Atlanta and Fortune Academy in South Carolina. Aaron’s current responsibilities include bringing quality courses and instructors to the school and ensuring that the school complies with all the Commission’s requirements. “I am honored to contribute to the success and professionalism of all the real estate agents in our community,” stated Bill. “Education has long been a passion of mine, and I can’t think of a finer company to be associated with than Coldwell Banker.”
Shauna von Hanstein, Director of Business Development for Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country, will also add the duties of School Coordinator and be responsible for keeping school records and certifying course completions.
While a modern, contemporary classroom space for up to twenty-five students is being developed in coordination with BankSouth Mortgage near the Coldwell Banker Village Park office location, the school’s first two continuing education courses will be offered at Lakeside Community Church on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. The school will present “Maximum Marketing, Minimum Dollars” and “Effective Use of Gadgets and Gizmos,” both taught by Juanita McDowell of Atlanta. Juanita has presented law, marketing, and technology courses at real estate conferences throughout the United States for many real estate organizations. The two inaugural courses are being offered free of charge to real estate agents from any firm and lunch will be provided by Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country. To register, please call 706-474-0403 or email RESchool@CBLakeOconee.com.
The Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Real Estate School plans to expand its offerings in the near future with additional classroom and online courses. “Classroom courses provide for personal interaction with today’s top real estate educators while online education gives our school an opportunity to meet the scheduling needs of all area professionals. At Coldwell Banker we constantly look for more ways to effectively service our agents and clientele by continually expanding our programs, products, and services to the community,” said Martin.
