GREENSBORO — The word is out: Good Vibrations Band from Macon, Georgia will be performing at this year’s Rock ‘n Roll Cruise-In, September 17th, 4-8 pm! It’s time to party in historic downtown Greensboro!
Good Vibrations, an energetic, experienced group of musicians whose charisma and enthusiasm packs the dance floor while keeping their audience groovin’ to the beat, will delight attendees this year! Strong vocals added to the driving rhythm of the percussion and brass give the band a full sound and allows them to play a wide range of memorable tunes from beach, soul, Motown and of course the favorites from the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s. So, dust off your dancing shoes, practice your “cool moves” and plan to dance the night away under the stars in downtown Greensboro!
Over 150 classic, antique, hot rod, rat rods, muscle cars and special interest vehicles from across the state will be lining the historic streets, stories of “I remember when…” and plenty of laugher and “oohs and ahhhs” will be the tone of the night . While enjoying these vehicles, remember that the owners have spent long hours turning that broken down, rust bucket into a “work of art” just for the love of the car and the memories it brings back. They all have a story, so take the time to ask them about their cars!
The evening is perfect for a family outing or a gathering of friends. Bring your lawn chairs and quilts or enjoy the bales of hay set out for your convenience. Food galore is available at our local restaurants. For your shopping pleasure, downtown businesses are open and offering specials for the evening.
The city streets close at 2:00 p.m. to get ready for the event and cars begin arriving at 3:00 p.m. Registration fee for the vehicles is still only $20.00 and registrants receive a dash plaque. Jimmy Britt Chevrolet-Buick-GMC in Greensboro sponsor the top 25 awards again this year. The Georgia Classic Cruisers of Greensboro and the Greensboro Main Street Program are sponsoring the event. See you Saturday, September 17, 4-8 p.m.
