Leasing office opens at The Glen

The leasing office for The Glen, a new resort-style retirement living community coming to Lake Oconee, is now open Located at 1000 Cowles Clinic Way, Elm Cottage, Suite E-100 in Greensboro. In addition, new key staff are now on board.
• Jamie Lancaster has been named executive director of The Glen. A native of Georgia, Lancaster has extensive experience in senior living that began a decade ago when she helped college volunteers coordinate senior proms, Wii bowling and pet therapy in assisted living communities. Most recently she served as executive director with a retirement community in Alabama. During her tenure, Jamie oversaw a major improvement in the community’s financial structure and also greatly increased employee satisfaction. She earlier served as activities director of the community, and obtained her nursing home administrator’s license in 2009.

Lancaster is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators and of the Junior League National Association. She received a bachelor’s degree in geriatrics from Auburn University and a master’s degree in health care administration from Columbus State University.
When she’s not assisting seniors, Jamie loves to spend time with her husband and two French bulldogs, Bauer and Pearl. She is also a member of a competitive barbecue team, “Swine and Shine.”
• Lauren Sims will serve as the new director of sales and marketing for The Glen. A longtime resident of the Lake Oconee area, Lauren has more than a decade of experience in sales and marketing with luxury housing and the senior living industry, including working for Reynolds Lake Oconee. She most recently assisted with the sales and marketing efforts at a management level for other Georgia-based senior living communities.
Sims studied communications and marketing at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia. She lives in Eatonton with her husband and two sons who attend Gatewood School.
The Glen is an all-new resort-style senior living community coming to Lake Oconee Village at Old Salem Road and Linger Longer Road. Independent living, assisted living, and memory care will be available for a monthly fee.
A joint venture of Almquist Hansen, LLC, a firm that specializes in creating lifestyle environments that maximize youthful living for senior adults; and Sugar Valley Capital Partners, a boutique investment banking firm; The Glen will be developed by Senior Southeastern, LLC.
