GriefShare will hold classes every Tuesday from Sept. 6 through Nov. 29 at the Parish Life Center, directly behind Christ Our King & Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro. Classes are from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $15 for a workbook, which is payable at the first session a person attends. Each lesson is self contained so that a person may start at any point and does not need to attend each lesson. For information, call 706-453-7292.

Oct. 1

The Blind Driver band will perform a benefit concert for The Artisans Village at the Eatonton Pavilion. Tickets will be available from the Peoples Bank and the Farmers and Merchants bank all locations. Center stage setting with chairs is $25 and general setting bringing your own chair for $15. The event opens at 5 p.m., and artists will work and display their work. The band will perform from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Oct. 3

Oct. 8

Putnam General Hospital will offer drive-through flu shots from 8 to 11 a.m. or as long as they last. Consent forms are available at the PGH front desk or online at www.putnamgeneral.com. Please have your consent form completed before entering the hospital campus.

A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at Christ our King & Savior Catholic Church on Lake Oconee Parkway (across from Publix). Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. the drive will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments receive priority. Oct. 21

Moonlight and MoTown is back by popular demand. The Sensational Sounds of MoTown returns to Harbor Club Stables. Join your friends for an enchanting evening of dinner and dancing at the “Moonlight and MoTown” event, benefiting the Pete Nance Boys and Girls Club. A silent auction and raffle will feature many items donated by local businesses. Cash bar and dinner begin at 6:30 p.m. and dancing is from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Individual event tickets are $80. Trunk or Treat is back again this year at Grace Fellowship in Greensboro. Grace Fellowship and Atlas Ministry join together to provide this fun-filled and safe-for-all celebration. The festival is for children ages 3-12, but the whole family is invited to attend. Decorated trunks, lots of candy, bouncy houses and games are sure to be a hit. Grace Fellowship is located at 1971 S. Main St., Greensboro. The festival is from 4 to 6 p.m.

Addiction: Parent and Family Support Group. Join us for an open discussion in a confidential setting. Our group meets every other Wednesday from 6:15-8 p.m. at the Lake Oconee Community Church facility located at 1001 Village Park Drive, Greensboro. Better Breathers Club meets from noon to 1 p.m. the second Friday of every month at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan hospital in Greensboro. Better Breathers is a part of the American Lung Association. It is a support group that provides education and socialization for people with COPD or other chronic lung diseases as well as family members, friends, drivers, etc. We help people better manage their condition; share experiences, challenges, and skills with others; learn about resources and activities in the community; become more active; and improve quality of life. Lake Oconee Landscape Association has formed to promote professionalism in the green industry. All members of LOLA are required to be licensed, insured and reputable. LOLA members provide services such as: landscape installation, maintenance, lawn and shrub fertilization, weed control, garden centers and all outdoor needs. LOLA is a nonprofit organization to assist consumers in Greene, Putnam, Morgan and Baldwin counties to select quality landscape professionals.
