We thank you Greene County for supporting our First Fall Festival on October 29th.  There were lots of handmade crafts, face painting, pumpkin carving, and games for children.  The favorite was bobbin’ for donuts.  The grilled hamburgers and hot dogs were a big hit.  The Georgia/Florida game was shown courtesy of Bank South Mobile Tailgate provided by Bank South Mortgage.

The raffle for a week’s stay at the Marriott’s Ocean Pointe Resort in Palm Beach Shores, Florida valued at over $4000 was won by Karen Watson.

The festival was held at the Habitat ReStore at 1373 Willow Run Road, Greensboro.  The ReStore accepts household items, appliances, furniture, building materials, lighting, and accessories.  Donations can be dropped off or scheduled for pick up by calling (706)453-1918 ext. 4. The ReStore is open to the public Wednesday-Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.

Greene County Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational Christian ministry working in partnership with the community and our future homeowners, to provide decent, affordable, and safe housing for those in need.  We believe that not only is family strength supported and improved by the quality of living conditions, but the community, as a whole, benefits as well.
