Greensboro First Presbyterian gets new pastor

Recently the Greensboro First Presbyterian Church Called Rev. Alex Stevens to be the Interin Pastor. In the PC(USA) Church, an “Interim” Pastor is one called for a specific purpose and time to lead a congregation in preparing for calling their new Pastor.
Rev Stevens attended Wofford College and Princeton Theologial Seminary. He has had extensive training and experience as an Interim Pastor and in pastoral/spiritual care. In his 16 years of ministry, Alex has served in installed, interim and supply pastor positions. He has served as a Hospice Chaplain in the NE Georgia area for over three years. He is a member of the Northeast Georgia Presbytery. Alex’s wife Joan is also a Presbyterian Minister. Alex considers it a humbling honor and joy to preach God’s Word at First Presbyterian Greensboro.
