The Georgia Writers Museum’s first two Writers Workshops have been fun, informative and well-attended. The instructors for those classes, Valerie Connors and Rona Simmons, both published authors who have been through the writing/publishing journey, shared their experiences and offered insight to writing as a career and an advocation.
The next Writers Studio Workshop will feature a local author and motivational speaker Dr. Chip Bell. As a world-renowned authority on customer loyalty and service innovation, he has authored several national best-selling books, including “Take Their Breath Away,” “Managing Knock Your Socks Off Service,” “Sprinkles, Kaleidoscope” and others. His books have won numerous major book awards, including the 2017 Best Book Award, a 2017 Silver Medal Award from the North American Book Awards, and others.
Bell has appeared live on CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg TV, Fox Business, ABC and CBS. His work has been featured in many magazines, among them: US Today, Forbes, Businessweek, Entrepreneur, Inc. Magazine, Money Magazine, CEO Magazine and Fast Company.
Bell is CEO of his company and travels extensively as a motivational speaker and Customer Service expert. He is a member of the Georgia Writers Museum board. His most recent book, Book Mark-How to be an Author, includes contributions from best-selling local authors and is available for purchase at the Museum.
The Writers Studio Workshop will be on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon. A copy of “Book Mark” is included in the price of the class. For more information and to register, go online to www.georgiawritersmuseum.com.
