GREENSBORO — Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country helped hundreds of Greene County High School students show their school spirit during the Tigers’ homecoming game day pep rally on Oct. 5 with spirit wear T-shirts provided by the agency.

More than 20 staff members and agents from the real estate agency volunteered to spend hours at the high school giving out free tees to more than 550 students. The T-shirts have the high school’s initials and a mascot tiger paw print on the front.

Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country held the T-shirt giveaway event at Greene County High School in support of its “The Power of True” campaign that includes being True to the Communities they serve.  Partnerships have been established with all of the public and private schools in Georgia’s Lake Country beginning with GCHS.

“We truly are involved with the local communities as much as possible – and that includes the schools,” said Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country President and COO, Tom Martin, who helped hand out T-shirts at GCHS. “The Greene County High School students were really excited, and they could not have been more polite.”

A key element of the Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country campaign and its school partnerships is to help generate school spirit. It’s also about giving local students opportunities to get a head start on their futures and chances to win some CBLOR swag.

The agency will offer local students career counseling, valuable internships and an insider’s view into the real estate business. “We want to help these students get a jump on the competition before they’re out of high school providing skills and experiences they can carry into the future,” said Martin. “We want to do what we can career-wise for students based on what they need and their interests.”

In addition, students and faculty members at participating schools who are seen at school or out and about in public wearing their Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country spirit wear T-shirt are eligible to win prizes, such as movie tickets or local gift certificates.

And those who put a Coldwell Banker magnet — also given out at Greene County High School – on the back of their vehicle could win $50 gasoline cards. All they have to do is check and like the agency’s Facebook page – CbLakeOconee. If a photograph of their vehicle is posted – they win a gasoline card.

Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country abides by its slogan “True to Our Communities.” The agency’s more than 75 agents also include Greene County High School alumni, including several who handed out T-shirts and magnets, and joined in to celebrate their alma mater’s homecoming.

Greene County High School is the first of a number of local schools Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country will be giving away more than 4,000 spirit wear T-shirts during the 2018-2019 school year.  Each event will be a unique school occasion.

“True to Our Communities” is not just a marketing slogan for Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country; it is a way of life.
