The state of Georgia is on a lot of people’s minds today. This beautiful state is appealing to people from all walks of life.

The state offers an interesting blend of modern and historic culture. Cities like Atlanta and Savannah have their own unique personalities. 

Maybe that is why 5.34 million existing homes were sold in 2018, according to data from the National Association of REALTORS® and 667,000 newly constructed homes were sold in 2018, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Atlanta’s topography has features that include thick trees and rolling hills. It is one of the most unique cities we have ever been to. The whole city has streets that have dense tree coverage and has earned the nickname of “The City in a Forest.” 

The main geographical features include mountains such as the Ridge-and-valley Appalachians in the northwest, the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northeast, the marshes and ocean of the Atlantic coast on the southeast to the Okefenokee Swamp on the South.  

Where else could you find a State that offers so much diversity. Yet! It’s our beautiful state of Georgia.

I-85N Corridor

Commerce – building a new car battery plant to supply BMW, Kia, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. The plant is a $1.7 billion project that should provide 2,000 jobs.

The interstate has been widened to Braselton (Phase 2) with plans to widen it all the way to Jefferson

(Phase 3)

A Work/Live/Play community is planned for the area around the Mall of Georgia. lt is attracting foreign investors. Atlanta Falcon Julio Jones is supposed to be the face of the project. There is a lot of new construction going on in this area.

l-20E Corridor

Facebook bought land in Social Circle to build Facebook Newton Data Center

Covington is building 3 Rings Studios and a mall off Alcovy Road. Stonecrest is now a city. There were plans to do a sports complex near the mall that was to house professional teams and Emory medicine for sports research. This project is on again/off again, so not sure about the details.

l-75S Corridor

Jodeco Station is under construction. lt is a retail and residential area to provide more restaurants/entertainment/living south of the city. 

l-85S Corridor

Newnan has a lot of new construction in the area. There are still some opportunities for new companies to move into that area as well.

Airport

Aerotropolis, is a vision for a mixed US community at the Atlanta Airport.

Fayettevillle, Ga.

Pinewood Studios is the location of numerous movies shot in Georgia across from the studios, Pinewood Forest , a European influenced housing community is being built. lt will have a movie theatre and medical facility onsite.

l-20W Corridor

Still a lot of land available, which is driving new construction in the area. This area has the most competitive housing prices in the city. This is the most affordable part of the city, but neighborhoods in the area offer little to no amenities.

l-75N Corridor

There is a lot of new construction all the way to Tennessee. This area also offers very competitive

pricing.

Dallas, Ga. offers a lot of new construction with lots of amenities. lt is a difficult part of the city to reach. (Information provided by Eric Keese. Motivational Speaker/Teacher.
