There will be pictures, Matt, the DJ will get you in the dancing mood, there will be a cash bar and some surprises during the evening.
In 1999 a group of friends, because of their love for animals, were working tirelessly to help the stray and unwanted animal population in Greene and Putnam Counties. They rescued and vaccinated animals and then they would put them up for adoption. But at the time, there was no building and no list of volunteers. Because of their dedication, approximately 75 animals were placed in homes each year. Then in 2005 the Oconee Regional Humane Society was created. Currently, ORHS has approximately 120 volunteers helping in all sorts of ways and over 8,000 rescues/adoptions have been done through the years.
ORHS collects food donations to distribute at the Food Distribution events for those in need. They have a low cost/no cost spay/neuter program and other programs to help our four legged friends. Because ORHS is a nonprofit (5013c) organization, they rely on fundraising, private donations, grants and partnerships with other rescue groups.
Visit orhspets.org and get reservations for a great celebration.
