Over the past several years, Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country has collected over 8 tons of food!  This year they would like to set a record!  Monetary donations will be accepted as well as non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta, and canned vegetables and fruits. Monetary donations are used to purchase food at a greatly reduced cost. Food donations will be divided between Putnam, Greene and Morgan Counties, helping the tri-county area with replenishing their banks for the Christmas holiday season. 

 

Greene County currently assists 350+ qualifying families once a month. In addition, these families are provided a turkey and all the trimmings at Thanksgiving and a ham and all the trimmings at Christmas. Putnam County assists 300+ families that receive an estimated 40-50 lbs. of food each month. Morgan County assists approximately 200 families with a box of food each week. 

 

If you would like to donate food, drop boxes are located at each of our offices in the lake area and downtown Madison.  Monetary contributions may also be dropped off at these locations and directed to the county of your choice: GREENE COUNTY FOOD PANTRY, THE CARING PLACE (MORGAN), or PUTNAM COUNTY LIFE SOURCE.
