GREENSBORO, Ga. — On Monday, Feb. 3, members of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce’s Public Affairs Committee, Education and Workforce Development Committee, and students from Youth Leadership Greene will visit the State Capitol for the second annual Greene County Chamber Day at the Capitol.

The event is an initiative by the Greene County Chamber’s Workforce Development Committee to help high school students become exposed to new career opportunities, and for Chamber committee members to know their elected officials better.

During the group’s visit, they will meet with Greene County State Representative Trey Rhodes and State Senator Burt Jones. They also plan to visit with Governor Brian Kemp and take a group picture with the Governor.

After a lunch sponsored by Georgia Power, the students and Chamber committee members will hear presentations from Cosby Johnson, Senior Government Affairs Manager with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and Rahul Bali, the News Anchor for WDDK DOCK 103.9 and Georgia Public Broadcasting. Both speakers will share their legislative and career experiences with the students and Chamber committee members.

For more information, call Terry Lawler, Chamber president, at 706-453-7592 or email President@GreeneCCoC.org or visit the Greene County Chamber Website at www.GreeneCCoC.org.
