Greene Co. Chamber announces February Business, Employee of the Month

GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Greene County Chamber of Commerce has awarded its February 2020 Business of the Month to Genuine Georgia.
Genuine Georgia is located on the corner of Broad and Main Street in downtown Greensboro.
Owner Cynthia Smith, constantly updates her vast collection of unique Georgia art from more than 100 talented Georgia
artists. Smith became Genuine Georgia’s owner in 2005 and moved the store to its current location in 2013. Genuine Georgia is a treasure-trove of every kind of visual artwork imaginable; and it’s all right here in Greene County.
“Cynthia Smith collects and sales an incredible variety of artwork, chosen by a panel of professional artisans, that bring art lovers and consumers from all over the state to visit Greensboro and Greene County,” said Chamber President Terry Lawler. “Cynthia and her cheerful staff are always happy to show visitors and shoppers alike their vast collection of constantly changing art, as well as sharing the personal stories behind each piece. Greene County is fortunate to have Genuine Georgia located here and we are honored to recognize them as the February 2020 Greene County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month.”
Employee of The Month
Tina Brown of BankSouth has been awarded the February 2020 Greene County Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Month. Tina is the Director of Bank Platforms at the BankSouth Lake Oconee branch.
“Tina manages all of the core banking applications at BankSouth,” says BankSouth Executive VP David Cowles. “In our recent software conversion, she played a very significant role in ensuring the success of moving all bank data from one system to another, along with ancillary systems that facilitate our interactions with our customers. We are honored to celebrate her recognition.”
