Greene Co. Chamber announces March award winners

GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the following March 2020 Greene County Chamber of Commerce business, employee and non-profit of the month. 

The following recipients have been selected based on their exemplary contributions of service and community involvement in Greene County and the surrounding area. 

Business of the Month: Oconee Comfort Insulation 

Oconee Comfort Insulation is a family owned business active member of the Lake Oconee Builders Association (LOBA) and Greene County Chamber of Commerce for many years. They are located at 119 Village Lane in Eatonton. Oconee Comfort Insulation has been on several LOBA committees including the Big Event and golf tournament fundraisers. Employee of the Month: Bria Brown, St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital 

Bria Brown is the Greene County March 2020 Employee of the Month. Brown is the director of administration and support services at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro. Besides being an outstanding employee, she is also very active in Georgia’s Lake Country and serves on the Northeast Georgia United Way Advisory Committee, the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club Advisory Board and is the chair of Greene County Family Connections. She also volunteers with the Second Harvest Food Distribution program and the Greene County Teen Maze. 

“In everything she does, Bria is an outstanding representative of Good Samaritan Hospital and our employees,” said hospital Outreach Director Beth Patrick. “She always has a helping attitude with everyone she works with, both inside and outside the hospital.” 

Non-Profit of the Month: Oconee Regional Humane Society

The Oconee Regional Humane Society (ORHS) is dedicated to bringing people and adoptable animals together for lifelong relationships through rescue and adoption. In addition, ORHS is committed to reducing animal overpopulation in our community through public outreach and low/no cost spay/neuter programs. ORHS has some of the most dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to help in the effort to protect pets in Georgia’s Lake Country.
