The 100 Who Care Del Webb Lake Oconee wanted to address the urgent need to those affected by the arrival of COVID-19. There was an increase in the number of people and families reaching out to the Greene County Food Pantry for assistance. The pantry went from providing food to 400-plus families one month to 600 the next — and the need continues. Not only did the group vote to give its second quarter donations to the Greene County Food Pantry but also invited all Del Webb residents to join them. Together, they were able to make a donation of $6,108. Special thanks go out to the steering committee: Betty Aubin, Andrea Kay, Liz Baum, Darlene Curico, Sharon Glaze, Anne Hamilton, Sue Johnson, Polly Kopp and Vivian Pentz.
